TO THE EDITOR:

I am writing as a former N.C. School of Science and Math student in response to the April 5 editorial regarding the NCSSM tuition grant to say that the editorial board is clearly misinformed.

First and foremost, NCSSM graduates do not receive a "full ride" as the editorial stated.

Daily Tar Heel, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC

TO THE EDITOR:

As all readers are aware, the park and ride lots are sites of crime. My wife's Honda Element was one of the cars which was targeted for a catalytic converter last week at the Chatham County park and ride lot.

Insurance had to pay $1,800 for the repair and replacement!

Such theft has been occurring for more than one year.

Not only do I like to look at all these new girls walking around during orientation, I like looking at their hot moms.

Since iTunes released its newest commercial featuring Coldplay performing "Viva La Vida," I have fallen even more in love with the band. This song has been the band's most popular, rising to number one on the Billboard charts.

My love for Coldplay, however, nearly faltered when I heard a rumor of Chris Martin stealing the melody of "Viva La Vida" from Creaky Boards, an aspiring New York band.
